- During 1992, 79 journalists were killed throughout the world, 10
- of them in Peru. The Sendero Luminoso allegedly killed the
- journalists for "carrying out their journalistic work," according
- to Freedom House [a rightwing human rights organization in the
- United States]. Other countries in Latin America where journlaists
- were killed include Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico,
- Nicaragua, Paraguay, as well as Cuba and Haiti.

- US was killed, allegedly for his revelation of secret activities

- MOYLE MURDER INVESTIGATION MOVES FROM SANTIAGO TO LONDON

- The investigation of the March, 1990 murder of British journalist
- Jonathan Moyle intensified when the lawyer of the deceased's
- family announced he would go to London on the morning of Dec. 13
- to study "secret documents" that could clear up the crime. Moyle,
- who wrote articles about weapons trading, traveled to Santiago to
- see an international exposition which the Chilean Air Force had
