- For reasons we never figured out, we were never able to get the Trident
- driver working on the 9000 chipset. I have the tech manuals on both,
- and it should act like a 512K 8900C, but it doesn't. Since I don't have
- a 9000 board (and returned the borrowed 8900C that I used), I haven't
- pursued it any farther.
-
- If someone wants to actively work on this, send mail to us at
- xfree86@physics.su.oz.au. We can add you to our beta team, so you can
- get feedback from other experts. My cohort-in-crime on the Trident
- driver was Alan Hourihane <alanh@logitek.co.uk>, and I know he has access
- to a 9000-based board (he tried to get our driver working on it). I don't
- know if Alan gets this newsgroup, so you can try contacting him and
- see what he can figure out, if anything.
