- ICCCM aside, olvwm will allow you to specify an icon with a depth greater than
- 1. If you want to be truly portable, you will not use this feature and will build
- an icon-window; if you don't care (or if you don't have the application source
- code to begin with), you'll use an XPM pixmap.

- The application icon is just a nice side-effect; the XPM stuff was really added to
- allow color icons in menus.
