- As anyone who has used MPW knows, "/" is a character that is
- used in scripting language for regular expressions. I have a
- serious need to run MPW off of an A/UX disk, which means, of
- course, that all full pathnames begin with "/:". This just
- confuses the hell out MPW and causes it to barf forth with
- the error message "/s must occur in pairs", which is of no
- help at all. I need to do development under MPW using this
- system, and currently I am having a very difficult time doing
- any makes.I have to essentially build all compilation commands
- by hand using relative pathnames. Does anyone have any better
- suggestions on using MPW in an A/UX environment? If all you
- have to offer is "You're out of luck", I guess I would like
- to hear that, too. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
