  13. I have just installed A/UX 3.0 on my Mac and have the following problems
  14. with the CommandShell and serial port.
  15.  
  16. The CommandShell only respond to a keyboard event only after another
  17. input event has been sent (like another key press or a mouse click).
  18. So if I type the character 'a', it doesn't show up until I've pressed
  19. a second key or click on the mouse.  Output to the window is also
  20. similarly affected: output comes out a few lines at a time and then
  21. mysteriously pauses until I click the mouse or press a key.

  23. I have Super Boomerang and SuperClock running on a Mac IIci w/8MB RAM
  24. in addition to QuickTime.

  26. The next problem: I get a kernel trap error (type = 4 or 5 I think) whenever
  27. I try to use the serial port.  It doesn't matter if the MacOS is running
  28. (it happens with X or MacOS alike, running something like Unix kermit or
  29. a MacOS comm program like Microphone II) and it takes place after I have
  30. successfully started the session for a while (like as much as 15 minutes
  31. after successfully using the serial port).

  33. Since I have only just installed A/UX, I didn't really do any tweaking of
  34. the system.
