- About 2 months ago, my IIcx dies, and instead of paying $700
- dollars to get a replacment IICX board, I opted to spend $800
- and upgrade to a IIci.
-
- Well, although the ci is quicker than the cx, I'd still like to
- stick in a cache card and make it a bit quicker. Now I know that
- Apple's ci cache card works fine with A/UX, but what about
- others? I've seen the Fast Cache IIci from Daystar (32k), the
- IIci 64k Cache card from Peripheral Outlet... there are a bunch
- more, but before I started calling around to see if they work, I
- thought I'd ask here.
-
- Also,, since we had some major power problems here because of
- the Winter Storm, what about UPS'? I've been testing some of the
- APC Back and Smart UPS for Novell and Unix (A/UX isn't
- supported), and was wondering if anyone out there has a UPS
- connected to there A/UX machine. If so, how's it work?
-
- As long as I'm sitting here asking these questions - what about
- large color or mono monitors. While I like my Apple 13" RGB
- color monitor, running X can be a bit frustrating to say the
- least. Anyone out there have inexpensive 17" and up monitors
- working with A/UX. What's the price, does it work with the built
- in video or Apple's 8-bit video card?
-
- I guess I'v asked enough for now.
