- You are better off doing: "chdev -l rmt0 -a blocksize=0"
- This sets the tape up as variable length. the advantage here is that
- mksysb under v3.2 will setup your boot tape to work properly. It
- will setthe blocksize to 512 for the first 3 files needed to bopot from
- tape and then switch back to a larger blocksize for the tar command
- that backs up the entire rootvg. This is what we do and have no
- problems. The nice thing is you can fit more on the tape.
