  10. I have been successfully using slip with AIX 3.2.1 on on a couple of RS/6000's.
  11. However a new system which is preloaded (I don't know if its 3.2.1 or 3.2.2 or
  12. 3.2.3) is a nightmare when it comes to slip.  I have everything set up as on
  13. the machines that work, but ping doesn't work from either direction.  The
  14. modem receiving the ping has a Receive Data light that comes on, but the 
  15. Send Data light never comes on.  Does anyone know if there are any changes
  16. I should be aware of between 3.2.1 and later versions of AIX?

  18. Also I seem to remember someone posting a fix/workaround for hardware
  19. handshaking.  I'd appreciate it if someone would email me a copy of that.
