- I have been successfully using slip with AIX 3.2.1 on on a couple of RS/6000's.
- However a new system which is preloaded (I don't know if its 3.2.1 or 3.2.2 or
- 3.2.3) is a nightmare when it comes to slip. I have everything set up as on
- the machines that work, but ping doesn't work from either direction. The
- modem receiving the ping has a Receive Data light that comes on, but the
- Send Data light never comes on. Does anyone know if there are any changes
- I should be aware of between 3.2.1 and later versions of AIX?
-
- Also I seem to remember someone posting a fix/workaround for hardware
- handshaking. I'd appreciate it if someone would email me a copy of that.
- Thanks.
