  11. It's not very intuitive, but the Sybase System Administration Guide gives the
  12. exact steps for creating a new device and making its presence known to the
  13. server.  We've run out of space before and had to create a new device and
  14. specify it to the database.  It worked fine, once we decide to read the dox
  15. :*}.
