- I noticed this on both my standard green screen and a Tandy CM5 color monitor -
- just after I put an external modem on top of the Z, right next to the
- monitor. Do you have anything with a transformer nearby? Other than that, I
- did have an aging problem with my green monitor - horizontal drive would blink
- out occasionally, and only a good whack would cure it.. then that stopped
- working. I ended up resoldering the flyback transformer to the main PC
- board - because of the weight it had worked a bit loose. I also tried
- swapping guts (all but the tube) with another monitor I had bought
- surplus (with really bad screen burn-in) and that worked, for a while, till
- the same transformer problem attacked it.
-
- Hope this all helps!
