  19. I noticed this on both my standard green screen and a Tandy CM5 color monitor -
  20. just after I put an external modem on top of the Z, right next to the
  21. monitor. Do you have anything with a transformer nearby? Other than that, I
  22. did have an aging problem with my green monitor - horizontal drive would blink
  23. out occasionally, and only a good whack would cure it.. then that stopped 
  24. working. I ended up resoldering the flyback transformer to the main PC 
  25. board - because of the weight it had worked a bit loose. I also tried 
  26. swapping guts (all but the tube) with another monitor I had bought
  27. surplus (with really bad screen burn-in) and that worked, for a while, till
  28. the same transformer problem attacked it.
