  21. talking about, Larry? Do you have maintenance contracts on them? Who are the
  22. vendors of the packages?

  33. Sun spent a lot of time encouraging software vendors to port to UNIX in the
  34. first place. Did IBM or DEC? Not until very recently. Did HP? Only when the
  35. software didn't compete with it's own products. These software vendors feel
  36. that they have an investment in Sun for making this UNIX software market
  37. possible. Sun is the vendor that said all along "Standards, standards,
  38. standards!"

  40. I think that the move to Solaris 2 will not be as bad as everyone thinks.
