  14. Hello,
  15.   we are managing a small to medium network of SUNs here at Mⁿnster.
  16. We have a lot of IPXes, ELCs, some SS 10  and some other machines (also SUNs).
  17. A lot of them have local discs, so we do not want a power-server 
  18. machine but a different concept. 
  19.   Until now we have so-called packages on some of the machines, that
  20. are being distributed each night (if necessary). We also have a
  21. database that defines which files should be copied and which should
  22. be linked. But: This is a lot of work, and that's not what we want.
  23.   We would appreciate a solution like this: Packages on different
  24. machines, and each time a user accesses a file it is copied to his
  25. local disc (if available). Thats a simple caching method, but we
  26. did not run into a program that provides this.
  27.   Does anyone know a (good!) caching program or does anyone have
  28. a better solution to manage a network like ours?
  29.   It would be really nice to get an answer of some experienced people!
