- Here at UBC, we have numerous SGIs (ranging from old 4D/70s thru a crimson).
- These machines (along with a bunch of IBM RS-6000s) are used for research and
- teaching in graphics and animation. Commercial software we use includes
- Alias, Wavefront, Vertigo, VoxelView , and a few others. I find the
- machines are excelent platforms for graphics work.
