- None, really. Many applications that deal with EPS files,
- (especially on the Mac, which doesn't have system-level
- facilities for processing PostScript) don't try to interpret
- the contents of the EPS file. They have no idea that the
- EPS file you produced in Showcase is all or mostly text-
- the application just regards it as an EPS file, that it's
- not equipped to fully interpret.
-
- The people who designed EPS planned for this possibility,
- and provided for a "preview bitmap" to be optionally
- included in the EPS file along with the PostScript
- description . Many applications which import EPS (Showcase
- included) will display the preview bitmap if it exists.
- Otherwise, they will show a blank space or a rectangle.
-
- When you write an EPS file from Showcase, it doesn't
- generate a preview bitmap. So it is not surprising that
- MS Word displays nothing when you import the EPS file.
- Have you tried printing from inside MS Word after you
- import the file?
