  12.    1 - I've got some X programs that I run under 4sight(3.3.2), 
  13. specifically they are POV-Ray and Radiance, both of them attempt
  14. to make private colormaps so as to use all 256 colors, however,
  15. when running under 4sight they for some reason cannot. If I load
  16. up real X-Windows it works fine. Is this a problem with 4sight or
  17. the other software?
  18.    2 - I have a 4D/20 that I bought used, I have found that two
  19. of the plastic SIMM holders are broken, one is totally broken(both
  20. clips), the other only has one clip off. The SIMMs do not stay in
  21. very well at all. I am constantly crashing. Anywhere from 1-5 times
  22. a day, 4sight may freeze or I might get a kernal panic. I taped
  23. them in securely once and the system stayed up for 4 days straight
  24. and then the tape came undone and it crashed. Now I can never seem
  25. to tape it as well and I'm crashing a few times a day again. Does
  26. anyone have any suggestions on how to make them stay in or solve
  27. my problem? I don't have enought money to pay for another mother
  28. board so that's out of the question.
  29.    3 - I have an HP DeskJet 500, will TeX or any other non-commerical
  30. program support it in b&w mode?

  66. the PI. Does SGI have an sort of motherboard trade in deal or 
  67. upgrader path for people like me?
