  19. This  Experimental and Character Animation position is a full-time joint
  20. position responsible for system management, hardware, maintenance of computers,
  21. (SGI, IBM, and SUN), and film/video hard copy output devices in two separate
  22. computer labs.
  23.  
  24. The work of these labs is centered around the production and recording of a
  25. wide
  26. range of professional quality art and animation in one of the most innovative
  27. art instruction environments in the world.
  28.  
  29. This twelve month, five day a week technical staff position is under the
  30. supervision of the faculty members acting as the directors of the "Computer
  31. Animation Lab" and the "Character Animation Lab".

  33. REQUIREMENTS
  34.  
  35. This person must be fluent in UNIX, shell scripting, MS DOS, and RCS
  36. programming.  Understanding  of and experience in System administration is a
  37. requirement.
  38.  
  39. Computer hardware repair, maintenance, and development as well as basic
  40. electrical capabilities and hard wire cabling systems are key elements of this
  41. position.
  42.  
  43. Network development and maintenance knowledge is crucial to this position.
  44.  
  45. Needs to be able to work closely with supervisors and when necessary act on
  46. her/his own initiative.
  47.  
  48. Ability to work well with others in an art environment and strong communication
  49. skills are important.
  50.  
  51. Salary range:  mid to high 20Us depending upon level of experience.
