- I don't know, it might be that fitting a quartz lid package inside a
- PCMCIA card is just too difficult to be worth the trouble.

-
- Sure, OTP (One Time Programable) ROM cards. However, you will
- have to buy a $300+ card drive to write to one. I know that
- Sparcom and other companies sell the OTP ROM cards.

- Not me. But you can contact HP about it at:

- The 20MB card won't work on the 95 because the card needs 12 volts in
- order to program the EPROM. There are 10MB and smaller cards designed
- for the 95 that have on board DC-DC converters to produce the needed
- voltage. Sundisk is working on a Stacker based software driver.

-
- There's an 80KB or so driver that has to be installed from floppy
- in order to use the Sundisk cards on the 95. The driver is not
- available on the card, it can only be installed from floppy or
- another card.

-
- Only special PCMCIA-ATA cards will work on the 95. The ATA (AT
- Attachement) standard is based on PCMCIA 2.0, while the 95 is only
- PCMCIA 1.0. Since the 95 is the most popular PCMCIA machine right
- now companies are going out of their way to make products for it,
- even if it means making non-standard devices. The modems made
- by Intel, AT&T, Megahertz, and the PCMCIA hard drives will not
- work on the 95.
