  11. All this talk about video compression.  Did anyone stop to think about 
  12. what happens to the audio?  Audio doesn't compress as well and since it
  13. doesn't I hope we can keep it seperate as it has always been.  After you
  14. get the video compression algorythm worked out, why not just incorperate 
  15. some SMPTE or VITC so that we could use the NeXT as a front
  16. panel to control a video deck and a midi project studio via a conversion 
  17. from SMPTE to midi machine code, etc. (using resources found in the music 
  18. and sound kit 3.1). Why try to get the NeXT to do 
  19. every thing when it is within our grasp to get it to monitor and control
  20. everything including external macs.  If someone out their creates something
  21. I'd be happy to market and support it to NeXT users.
