I called Right Brain and checked on "Miniscribe". As far as I can tell, It
will not produce music notation adaquately for any stylistic genre past the
Baroque era 1600-1750 etc. In other words, if your into neumes and ligatures
or other forms of musical expression from the Middle Ages to the Baroque then
your in great shape but if you need to add dynamic markings taken from lets say
a Bartok Violin Concerto, forget it. Still, I am curious as to its flexibility.
Incidently, "Score" is no longer being distributed by Passport and the gentlemanwho wrote it probably still teaches at Stanford. Maybe someone could convince
him to port it over. It was a heck of a notation program even though it ran
on a DOS machine. Alas, I can't remember his name.
