-
- Just a short note that the Questor project is offering ZyXEL and Telebit
- modems in BLACK cases for everyone that has a NeXT computer and like
- BLACK.
-
- Prices are low, and help to support the goals of the Questor Project. A bit
- of background about Questor, and its Mission Statement follow, followed by
- how to access our mail-server:
-
-
- BACKGROUND INFO:
-
- The Questor Project is a non-profit society operating the Questor Project
- BBS/UUCP service. It began over 5 years ago. Its mandate was, (and is
- still), to supply information in the areas of Medicine, Health and AIDS.
-
- In order to earn the funds necessary for the ongoing maintenance, operation
- and upgrading of this site, it was decided to offer a few very exceptional
- modem products for sale to the general public, at prices just slightly above
- our costs. (We also have NS16550AFN UARTS on hand.)
-
- Technical specifications/manufacturer's DATA SHEETS and Prices are available
- by sending e-mail to our mail-server. Data Sheets are in the form of TIFF-
- files scanned in at 300x300dpi. These files are stored in *.ZOO archives
- which, when requested, will be sent to you as a series of uu-encoded files.
-
-
- MISSION STATEMENT:
-
- Questor is non-profit, and makes available free of charge to anonymous
- (or identified callers), many newsgroups supplying current and immediate
- information concerned with the fields of Medicine, AIDS, Global Environment
- and Native (indigenous) Issues.
-
- This information comes from the Internet via special interest electronic
- mailing lists, and from Usenet news.
-
- Callers who cannot contribute, but who *identify* themselves by filling
- in the questionnaire are granted limited e-mail access, and limited
- access to posting messages and responses to the FREE newsgroups described
- above.
-
- By supporting Questor by purchasing some of the selected hardware devices
- we make available at slightly above cost, you are supporting the FREE aspect
- of the site, namely: making available all the newsgroups concerned with
- medical issues, AIDS, Global Environment and Native (indigenous) Issues to
- all dial-in callers, especially those who would not otherwise be able to
- otherwise access such a service.
-
-
- HOW TO ACCESS THE MAIL-SERVER:
-
