  11. According to Apple's Readme File that comes with system 7.1, you are not
  12. supposed to install system 7.1 with the "System Software for Macintosh Quadra
  13. Products". It is A KNOWN BUG by Apple. You must install with the default
  14. install options in order to get a good monitors control panel. (Yes I
  15. installed it like you did at first). Reinstall with the Easy install and it
  16. will vanish away!
