- Okay, some people report this bug without MenuChoice. Personally, I don't
- get the problem when I turn off MenuChoice.
-
- The question, I think, is what can cause this bug to occur? What would make
- an application blow up while pulling down a menu when particular dialogs or
- alerts are on the screen?
-
- If you have experienced this bug with or without MenuChoice, send me your
- configuration -- I'll try to find any similarities which exist. Please include
- system version, extensions, control panels (including Apple ones), model of
- Macintosh, and monitor you have (just to be exhaustive).
-
- BTW, if you didn't get the original message, here is a definition by example
- of the bug I'm talking about: if go to the help menu, select 'About Balloon
- Help...' and then try to pull down another menu, the current application should
- quit or at least get really screwed up. In my experience, an image of the
- menu you pulled down will 'contaminate'any thing that was lying under the
- menu.
