- When I was fiddling around with the (fantastic!) print envelope feature in
- Word 5.1, one the first things I noticed is that the boxes that the addresses
- go in are TOO SMALL!! Most addresses wrap around inside the boxes and look
- awful (though they print out OK). Fixing this problem is easy if you are
- familiar (and even if you're not, really) with ResEdit. Open the toolbar file
- in the Word Commands folder, and edit the first DLOG resource (ID 129, titled
- "Envelope"). Double click on the picture of the Envelope window. Now, click
- on the box that you want to change. Then, click and hold on the bottom right
- corner, and resize the box. You can also move the box around, move the buttons
- around, and change the size of the box. Save the file when you are done. And,
- of course, work on a copy if you're not sure what you are doing!

- ps using the Address feature on a DeskWriter? Use the 'center' envelope option,
- and put about 6 spaces before each line on the return address. (I used up five
- envelopes figuring this out!)
