  17.    I have them stumped though on an AD 2.0 problem with my Mac SE. I am running
  18.    6.0.7 without MultiFinder.  Basically what happens is AD will never quit
  19.    scanning! If I set the delay to 3 minutes it will start the scan on schedule

  28.    they suggested so far inlcuding re-installation, runnning a heap fixer
  29.    program (Bootman) and killing all inits excpet AD/DD.  No luck yet!

  32. I have posted on EXACTLY the same subject to comp.sys.mac.apps (or maybe system)
  33. anyway the same thing is happening to me, exactly the same symptoms.

  35. So far I have...

  37. 1) Rebuilt desktop (ater using ResEdit to make visible + trashing old desktop)
  38.  
  39. 2) Removed AD and re-installed, repeat 1)
  40.  
  41. 3) Called 5th Generation.
  42.  
  43. 4) Deleted hidden AD file using ResEdit to make visible etc, go back to 1)
  44.  
  45. 5) repeat stages 1,4,2 in that order.
  46.  
  47. 6) Repeat all stages without re-installing AD, back up to floppys,
  48.    ERASE hard drive, re-install AD.
  49.  
  50. The problem persists. I have System 6.0.7, crash barrier, after dark hierDA, 
  51. appolo and a few others. Symptoms  appeared 2 weeks after upgrade to 2.0.
