Hi All,

There has been some discussion recently about RAM disks, I
had a couple of questions that I hope people can answer. I
have a IIsi with 17K of RAM and a 110 Meg hard disk. I am
running system 7. My work consists mainly of using PageMaker,
Quicken and games (esp. Hellcats!! ;-) ). I would like to get
a performance improvement. I have thought about buying a Daystar
Cache Card, a friend has a IIci Daystar Fast Cache Card that they
do not need so all I need to buy is the IIsi dual port adapter.
I have also thought about adding a RAM disk. I downloaded one of
the shareware ramdisks (ramdiskplus3.17.sit.hqx) and it seems like
it might be just the thing I need. Has anyone used this and how
do you like it? It seemed like if I was using PageMaker under the
RAM disk and I created a file that I would have to remember to move
it by hand to my hard drive or it would be lost...is this right? How
safe is it to have a RAM disk? Any and all information on this subject
would be welcome. e-mail is preferred but I do read this group...Oh,
one last question...Sometimes when I download a file and try to unbinhex
it, it fails  giving me the message "EOF error" what is this and what
can I do about it? Thanks for any help!
