- I'll throw in $.02....
-
- I would personally like to see an inexpensive "stripped" Quadra. I would like
- to upgrade my system and all I am really interested in is speed. I would love
- to see a fast Quadra system that does not have all the built-in extras.
-
- For example, a machine listing for $3000.
- 33MHz 68040
- Use a "no FPU" version if that significantly reduces the cost
- No built-in ethernet.
- No built-in video.
- 2 Nubus slots
- 1 processor direct slot
- Single built-in floppy.
- Single 3.5" internal hard drive
-
- This would be a great system for my needs since I don't need ethernet and I
- already have two video boards with monitors. Don't need much expansion space
- except for the video board. I have everything else I need I just want a
- faster CPU and 32 bit clean ROMs (I currently have a IIcx).
-
- Waiting and watching.
