  16. I don't know of any public domain program that does this. Apple distributed as
  17. part of the QuickTime Starter Kit a utiliter called Movie Converter, and as
  18. part of the QuickTime Developers Kit a utility called Convert to Movie (kind
  19. of very similar programs) that can be used to do this. If you have either
  20. VideoShop or Premiere, then you can use those programs to recompress too.
