- my SE/30 (circa 1989) has, since the beginning of the semester,
- had a somewhat unstable picture. the picture changes size occasionally
- (but mostly only horizontally as far as i can tell), and there's
- some flicker occasionally.
-
- i've been reluctant to give it a good whack to see if that will cure
- the problem, since i also have a hard disk in it. i am afraid that
- my power supply is getting flaky, but it also occurred to me that
- something might have come loose inside (i carried it on the plane
- when i came back to school, and i wasn't having any problems before).
- or perhaps it's the outlet that it's connected to, but i have it plugged
- into a surge suppressor/noise filter.
-
- i've read the thread on the MacPlus problems, but my computer has
- a working fan.
-
- thanks for your help.
