  12. my SE/30 (circa 1989) has, since the beginning of the semester,
  13. had a somewhat unstable picture.  the picture changes size occasionally
  14. (but mostly only horizontally as far as i can tell), and there's
  15. some flicker occasionally.

  17. i've been reluctant to give it a good whack to see if that will cure
  18. the problem, since i also have a hard disk in it.  i am afraid that
  19. my power supply is getting flaky, but it also occurred to me that
  20. something might have come loose inside (i carried it on the plane
  21. when i came back to school, and i wasn't having any problems before).
  22. or perhaps it's the outlet that it's connected to, but i have it plugged
  23. into a surge suppressor/noise filter.

  25. i've read the thread on the MacPlus problems, but my computer has
  26. a working fan.
