- Let's clear-up this misconception. The IIvx can _not_ drive 16" monitors
- with its built-in video. This has been widely misreported both on the Net
- and in the Macintosh magazines (MacWeek did it first).

- I agree with your analysis for the most part, but I think you underplay
- the importance of a few of the IIvx's features.

- The importance of the FPU is not that it speeds things up (unless the
- user is a serious number cruncher), but that some software doesn't
- run _at_all_ without one. For some trivial, but illustrative, examples
- of this, consider various AfterDark modules.
- IMHO, the FPU is more of a compatibility issue than a speed issue, though
- this may change if newer versions of utilities such as SoftwareFPU get
- developes.

- The Cache is purly a speed issue, but it should be mentioned that the
- sppedup it provides is usually quite significant.
