- I have had an Express Modem ordered for quite some time and the Dist
- does not even have a clue when they will be coming in....went with a
- PowerPort/Gold.....I heard that the Express modem offloads the IO
- processing to the CPU....thats why it's cheaper, I wonder if that will
- hamper performance. If you require FAX capabilites and the Express Modem
- comes with the same FAX software as the 2400baud Apple modems then I
- would go with the PowerPort.....We have been using PowerPort/Golds in
- all our PowerBooks and have been extemely pleased. We have experienced
- no problems.......
