  24. Here's the text of the press release I saw about the upgrades. For the price
  25. they're offering, I wouldn't be surprised if they're just cranking the
  26. crystal. Maybe someone could call and find out. The 800 number probably 
  27. doesn't work in Canada.

  43. program. DESI is offering four upgrade options:
  44. 140 F/25: 25Mhz 68030 + 68882 FPU
  45. 145 FPU: 68882 FPU
  46. 160 F/33: 33Mhz 68030 + 68882 FPU
  47. 160 FPU: 68882 FPU

  49. Additional memory can also be added during an upgrade. DESI is offering an
  50. introductory price of $399 for the F/25 and F/33 upgrades which includes,
  51. through January, free roundtrip shipping and handling. The FPU upgrades
  52. will be introduced at $249. 48 hour express turnaround is available and all
  53. upgrades come with a 6 month warranty. DESI will be offering same day service
  54. for attendees of MacWorld SF.

  57. For that price, they're either cranking a crystal, or they're taking your 
  58. old CPU daughterboard from the 160 and using it for the 145. Otherwise it
  59. seems to good to be true...
