- To Quadra 900 owners,
- I'm having a problem with a Mac Quadra 900. It works fine until I
- turn on the processor caches, 32-bit addressing, and virtual memory AT THE
- SAME TIME. I thought I heard of some problem with the disk driver long
- ago but I havn't seen anything about this lately. We've tried everything
- I could think of, including replacing the system (7.0.1 w/tuneup) and
- removing all extensions and cp's. The symptom is a crash just after the
- "Welcome to Macintosh" box at startup. The crash alternates between
- generic hang, "Bus Error," and "...turn off all extensions and restart..."
- The drive is an Apple-brand IBM-manufactured disk.
-
- Any and all help is greatly apreciated.
