- # Up until today I was running System 7.1 on my trusty Macintosh II and
- # had no problems with the unit. This is and was the only device
- # attached to the external SCSI port of my machine. I sold the Mac II
- # and replaced it with a Quadra 700/230. The internal hard disk has ID
- # 0. The tape drive has ID 1. I am running system 7.1 on the Quadra.
-
- # Retrospect hangs whenever it is invoked.
-
- I had a problem with a Teac drive when I upgraded to a Quadra with catalogs
- losing synchronization, Appleshare volumes dismounting, and random hangs.
- There are two possible problems; Retro.SCSI, which according to Dantz is not
- fully compatable with Quadras, and the fact that some versions of Retrospect
- 1.3 are not compatable with certain Quadra/tape drive combinations. If
- removing Retro.SCSI doesn't help, call Dantz and get them to send you a copy
- of Retrospect 1.3C. Since I installed 1.3C things have been working pretty
- well for me.
