- A few days ago I noticed that my computer seeked to be running very
- slowly.
- I ran Speedometer on it and every test was fine except for the CPU speed
- test. The test gave a CPU speed of ~1.4. Normally the CPU speed clocks
- in
- at about 4.0. For some reason the computer is running at about 1/3 of the
- speed that it should.
-
- If I boot from a floppy the computer returns to it's normal speed.
- I tried booting with no extensions, reinstalling the system, and finally
- reformatting my small hard drive all to no avail.
-
- My system is:
- LC II 10/40
- System 7.01 tuneup 1.1.1
- (problems persist with all other software removed)
-
- If you have any idea what could be happening could you please let me in on
- it? I'm pretty much befuddled at this point.
-
- Thanks alot.
