  14. A few days ago I noticed that my computer seeked to be running very
  15. slowly.
  16. I ran Speedometer on it and every test was fine except for the CPU speed
  17. test.  The test gave a CPU speed of ~1.4.  Normally the CPU speed clocks
  18. in
  19. at about 4.0.  For some reason the computer is running at about 1/3 of the
  20. speed that it should.
  21.  
  22. If I boot from a floppy the computer returns to it's normal speed.
  23. I tried booting with no extensions, reinstalling the system, and finally
  24. reformatting my small hard drive all to no avail.
  25.  
  26. My system is:
  27. LC II 10/40
  28. System 7.01 tuneup 1.1.1
  29. (problems persist with all other software removed)

  31. If you have any idea what could be happening could you please let me in on
  32. it?  I'm pretty much befuddled at this point.
