-
- There is one each of the following keys: Caps Lock, Control, Option,
- Command, Escape, Enter, Delete, Return, and the four arrows. There are two
- Shift keys.
-
- The Escape key is located directly to the left of the space bar instead of
- the upper left corner where it belongs.
-
- The Control key is located in the lower left corner instead of next to 'A'
- where it belongs.
-
- It seems like I hit '=' instead of Delete a lot. Pilot error, I guess.
-
- Other than those three things the layout is ok in my opinion.
-
- I do have some problems with the keyboard mechanicals. I experience a lot
- of key 'bounce' where I get some keys registering twice for one keystroke.
- This is a problem with keyboard firmware -- a software problem -- and not
- easily fixed in the field. Probably would take a board-swap if the firmware
- ever got fixed.
-
- I also frequently experience the opposite of the above -- failed key
- strokes. I find myself typing lightly because the keyboard feels 'light' --
- a vague and ambiguous description -- but as a result I miss several key
- strokes per page. I'm learning to 'hammer' the keys a little more firmly.
-
- The tactile feel of the keys is not as nice as Apple's standard kibos,
- which I rate as some of the best at any price.
-
- I won't compare the Duo kibo to the Apple Extended Kibo because I don't
- like the layout of the extended so I don't use it. (bad ctrl and esc
- locations)
-
- One Duo User's Opinion...
