- Does anyone know what is happening at Apple to cause the 4-6 weeks delivery
- times for the Mac IIvx? When I bought (pre-paid) for a Mac IIvx system (3
- weeks ago) I was told they'd be in on the next truck. Then told "the next
- del., now I'm told maybe by the end of January? Because I'm getting the
- system w/ CD, monitor, exkeyb, and 12 meg of memory for about $3600, I'm
- reluctant to can the order (love student/corporate prices), however . . .
-
- I'm being told that there are hardware problems (w/ CD drive), the plant's
- shut down for the holidays, Apple screwed up and didn't plan for the
- holiday season (PPP = piss poor planning), and that Apple is only shipping
- to the West Coast at this time. "Strategic Allocation" is one of the buzz
- words that keeps popping up.
-
- Does anyone out there know? I'm sure I'm not alone with this question.
- And my wife hates the idea of lossing interest on an already cashed check.
-
- I bought from one of those semi-glitzee places that I thought was
- reputable. CompUSA.
