  13. Does anyone know what is happening at Apple to cause the 4-6 weeks delivery
  14. times for the Mac IIvx?  When I bought (pre-paid) for a Mac IIvx system (3
  15. weeks ago) I was told they'd be in on the next truck.  Then told "the next
  16. del., now I'm told maybe by the end of January?  Because I'm getting the
  17. system w/ CD, monitor, exkeyb, and 12 meg of memory for about $3600, I'm
  18. reluctant to can the order (love student/corporate prices), however . . .

  20. I'm being told that there are hardware problems (w/ CD drive), the plant's
  21. shut down for the holidays, Apple screwed up and didn't plan for the
  22. holiday season (PPP = piss poor planning), and that Apple is only shipping
  23. to the West Coast at this time.  "Strategic Allocation" is one of the buzz
  24. words that keeps popping up.

  26. Does anyone out there know?  I'm sure I'm not alone with this question. 
  27. And my wife hates the idea of lossing interest on an already cashed check.

  30. reputable.  CompUSA.
