- I have a Mac LCII with a Goldstar SVGA monitor. It is connected
- directly to the Mac's video output with an adapter which was supplied
- with the monitor.
-
- The problem is 1 pixel size red spots which appear when the picture is
- scrolled or a small area of the screen is redrawn, such as when a
- pull-down menu goes away. The spots appear randomly and the more you
- scroll or redraw, the more spots! When the screen is completely
- redrawn, such as moving to the next page in Word, all spots are gone.
- This looks to me like dropped bits when the system reads the video
- memory.
-
- This problem does not occur with a Apple monitor, but was observed
- with an Everex SVGA monitor.
-
- Is it possible that these monitors load the video output more than
- an Apple monitor does, and could loading of the video even cause
- this problem?
-
- Has anyone else heard of this problem?
- Is there any fix short of going out and buying an Apple monitor?
-
- All replies will be appreciated.
