- From my meager understanding of the Performas, the system software (7.1P)
- was made to make is easier to use than regular system 7. It was found that
- when multiple applications were open, the screen clutter was too confusing
- for most people so the changed the system software so that when you launch
- a new application, the others (inclusing Finder) went into the background
- and were forced to "hide". In theory, you need to go to the application
- menu (the upper right hand side of the menu bar) and select another app.

- But, I've never played with one...just remembering what the literature
- explained.

- By the way, you CAN load the "real" system 7.1 software if you'd like,
- but you'll have to pay for the upgrade like everyone else.
