- It seems there is some interest in the pin-outs of the standard DB-15 IBM-PC
- compatible game port. Well, here they are:
-
- Pin Signal
- === ======
- 1 +5VDC
- 2 Paddle #1 - Fire button/Joystick A
- 3 Paddle #1 - X Position/Joystick A
- 4 Ground
- 5 Ground
- 6 Paddle #2 - Y Position/Joystick A
- 7 Paddle #2 - Fire button
- 8 Ground
- 9 Ground
- 10 Paddle #3 - Fire button/Joystick B
- 11 Paddle #3 - X Position/Joystick B
- 12 Ground
- 13 Paddle #4 - Y Position/Joystick B
- 14 Paddle #4 - Fire button
- 15 +5VDC
-
- Note: If you look really close at the computer side of the plug, you will see
- that the pins are numbered on the receptacle. PLEASE look at this
- before attempting to wire anything up to the game port to make sure
- your orientation is correct.
