  11. I have inherited an older Wangtek tape unit -- Model 5099EN24.
  12. This is a QIC-24 drive (60M with 600 tapes).  It was used under DOS
  13. with the software that came with the the controller a Sysgen 5500A.

  15. Here is the problem:  I want to use this drive under unix.  My OS
  16. supports it in combination with a PC36 controller.  Has anyone ever
  17. heard of this Sysgen card?  Is it supposed to be compatible with the
  18. PC36 controller?

  20. Thanks for any hints.  I don't know this type of drives very well.
  21. Are these inteface cards supposed to be compatible with each other?
  22. I tried to use the Wangtek driver under ISC unix and it didn't seem to
  23. work.
