- I have inherited an older Wangtek tape unit -- Model 5099EN24.
- This is a QIC-24 drive (60M with 600 tapes). It was used under DOS
- with the software that came with the the controller a Sysgen 5500A.
-
- Here is the problem: I want to use this drive under unix. My OS
- supports it in combination with a PC36 controller. Has anyone ever
- heard of this Sysgen card? Is it supposed to be compatible with the
- PC36 controller?
-
- Thanks for any hints. I don't know this type of drives very well.
- Are these inteface cards supposed to be compatible with each other?
- I tried to use the Wangtek driver under ISC unix and it didn't seem to
- work.
