  21. oh yes it can....  I've seen people trying to sell the 16550 at this
  22. price.  they get away with it because some people don't realize that
  23. they can get the same exact chip (the real National Semiconductor chip)
  24. for about $10 plus a couple dollars shipping.

  30. see above --- your guess is quite correct.  I've seen the 16550 priced
  31. as low as $9, and the norm seems to be about $12.
