- Well now you are a lucky man. It all seems to depend on your system
- configuration both hardware and software. The 4 millisecond interrupt
- shutoff can occur within Smartdrv, windows task switching or a variety
- of other places. If your machine is reasonably fast and has a large
- amount of memory ( eg > 8 Meg) then during the course of your file
- transfer you may never see a 4 millisecond shutoff since smartdrv has
- lots of memory to write to and Windows has lots of memory to swap to.
- In addition if your file transfers were fairly small ( < 1 Meg) then
- you may have been lucky enough to avoid the shutoff. But in general it
- will happen sooner or later sure as taxes and death.
