- Hi All.
-
- As I read through the rather large volume of traffic this group
- generates, I noticed that, in fact, my querry had come up recently. So, in
- regards to a recent post...
-
- >As I know NICE, Hawk and AIR have EISA/VL-bus motherboards.
-
- Could someone please give me COMPLETE names and/or 800 # for these manufacturers.
-
- >AIR's newest motherboard has 5 EISA + 3EISA/VL-bus slots.
- >Memory SIMM is 72pin(x36) type. CPU speed is <50MHz. However, because
- >this board has 3 VL slots, 50 MHz clock exceed the VESA recommendation.
- >6 SiS ASIC chips. Cache memory is up to 512kbyte. AMI bios, but setup
- >functions are litte bit weak with comparing to the Orchid Superboard.
- >American design, Asian country made.
-
- I know that this info is probably readily available but what exactly do you mean
- when you say that 50 MHz exceeds the VESA recommendation. All I know is that 2
- is the widely accepted limit for the number of VL-Bus slots that a cpu can handle
- as far as load is concered.
-
- I appreciate any and all responses. Email me direct or post to the group!
-
- Sincerely,
