- That's for sure. For a VGA card, supporting VESA might mean one or more of:

- BIOS mode 6a
- VESA BIOS Extensions (mode queries, more modes, etc)
- Support of 800x600 72Hz vertical refresh
- Support of 1024x768 at 70 Hz
- VL-Bus
- Super VGA Protected Mode Interface (SVPMI)
- Video Cursor Interface (VCI)
- Extender cable interface (the connector used to hook up to other boards)
