  16. Upgrading just the UART will do NOTHING for you connection.

  18. The only time it would help is if you could MAKE the connection, and
  19. you experienced missing characters.

  21. Try this simple, yet often overlooked attempt....

  23. Add an S10=30 to your initialization string....   if your phone
  24. lines are mildly noisey, it may help.... If they are overly bad, then
  25. you either need new lines, a better retraining modem, or need to move :>
