- Yeah, BOCA has no UART, and I've heard a lot of bad thingfs about
- SUPRA (then again, DATASTORM's BBS has 11 SUPRA nodes -- go figure)
- I just bought a 14.4K Fax/Modem from Midwest Micro - Infotel 144I
- internal and I am satisfied with it to a point. The point is: either
- the modem or the Quick Link II software bundled with it has screwed up
- my Windows (it's still working but crashes once every 1/2 hour) and I
- also get problems on the hardware level such as when windows crashes a
- hundredth time, I can't just do a warm reboot, and I HAVE TO WAIT at
- least 5 to 10 minutes before doing a cold reboot, or else I get RAM
- checksum errors (new RAM - 2 months old never had these problems
- before). Aside from that, however, namely in DOS I am more than
- satisfied with performance.
