-
- from the timeline of my life and my near-never-ending-search-for-the-right-
- simms, i would say that the 9 chips are older...
-
- i bought my computer 1 year ago... it had the 9 chips...
-
- about 2-3 months ago, i wnated to upgrade... since i wanted to use
- the 9 chips (peace of mind and etc... although my dealer just told
- me to use 1X9 (9 doesn't represent 9 chips here! learned the hard
- way...) simms...)
-
- i checked out practically every store around my area and no-one
- carried 9 chip simmms... they all carried 3 chips.... finally one
- dude told me he'll sell me 1x9 simms for $26 a piece..... i bought
- 8 then realized that they were 3 chips.... eventually he convinced
- me that it'll wok on my computer...
-
- thus far, i haven't had any memory problems...
-
- i have 4 1 meg 9 chip simms and 8 1 meg 3 chips (all 70 ns)
- and all 9 chip in their own bank 3 chips in their own bank...
- if you mix them in teh same bank, you might run into problems...
