-
- Because:
-
- A) It runs a little slower.
- B) I want to use 1024x768 mode, not 800x600.
- C) I have a work-around.
- D) 256 colors are more than enough for me. :-)
-
- Note that I did have trouble with 640x480 with 4 million colors
- (or what ever that max colors are). It gave me a message saying
- that I had run out of System space (or some such) and part of my
- icons were large black boxes instead of pictures. As I don't
- intend to run in this mode (for a while anyway), I didn't bother
- messing with it any further.
-
- Someone mentioned that those of us with problems should have
- Version 2.02 of the Drivers. I couldn't find any way to find the
- driver version number, but when my system boots and the video card
- puts it's sign on message on the screen, it says BIOS version 2.02.
