  10. Help! Does anyone know what value variable-resistors
  11. are required for the joysick port on an IBM PC?
  12.
  13. And, as an aside, can anyone give a good reason why
  14. they used open ended resistors, necessitating (SP?)
  15. particular value resistors, when a potentiometer
  16. setup (as in the good ol' BBC) would have
  17. been MUCH more sensible?
  18.
  19. Also, can 1280x1024 interlaced damage a 1024x768
  20. non-interlaced monitor? Obviously it can cope
  21. with the vertical resolution (interlaced = 1/2 the
  22. number of scanlines?), but what about the horiz res?
  23.
  24. Anyway, I'm off to work on a steering wheel and pedal
  25. setup for microprose grand prix!
