- Geez, sucker born every minute. The main reason for this phenomenon, as
- far as I can tell, is the lack of education of students in how to use
- systems that are less intuitive than macintoshes. Since the basic use
- of the mac is much more of a no-brainer than the basic use of a PC (say,
- for using Word 4.0/Mac or equivalent compared to using WFW 2.0 on top
- of Windows on top of DOS). The loss, in this case, is the student's,
- because they end up using inferior hardware (not to mention outdated
- OS and software if it's a 1Mb Plus) when there's something much more
- powerful and much more effective available if only they knew how to use it.
